We're very lucky to have numerous industry champions coming on board for this year's festival.
An important factor for us at Assemble Fest is that we help artists to achieve their ambitions, so each theatre company has identified an area that they would like to develop. The opportunity to work with an established industry figure can be extremely useful, and each theatre company will share and demonstrate ideas alongside their mentor. This will support the companies' long-term development and help to create some brilliant pieces for Saturday 3rd May.
Some of the theatre makers stipulated that they would like to work with directors, whereas others said they would prefer writers, producers and physical theatre practitioners. We are therefore extremely grateful to have gained the support of experienced individuals from some high-profile venues, covering every area of the creative process.
We're very excited to see what these collaborations will lead to. If you would like to meet the mentors yourself, the majority of them will be present on the day at our Hub Space inside the Bradbury Community Church on the corner of Newland Avenue and Cottingham Road.
