It's difficult to write anything with a pug sat on your lap with his head on your arm, so you'll have to excuse me if I just stop halfway thr.............
Ha, only joking. Pugsley is awkward but a joy to have around. Right then, Assemble Fest is almost here again and I can't wait for the day itself. A whole lot of work has gone in behind the scenes from the companies and the Assemble Fest team to make it happen and run smoothly. There's been hundreds of emails, phone calls and meetings, not to mention the radio interviews, newspaper articles and a nonstop social media presence. You couldn't ask for a harder working bunch.
Now it's the homestretch and the excitement (nervousness?) is rising. I used to be a runner and would have to make myself go out on training runs in all kinds of weather because I knew how much I loved the race day. That's how I feel about 23rd May. The tickets are selling, the venues are ready and the community venue managers and student volunteers are signed up. We've just got to ensure that the weather is the same as last year and we're ready. See you on the Avenue!
