We're delighted to announce that last night's launch event went extremely well, with representatives from multiple local theatre companies coming together for an evening of festival updates, productive networking and, as is to be expected of Hull's creative community, plenty of witty bants.
We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the event, The Piper Club for being a cracking host, and the fantastic live entertainment from first-class pianist David Barton and the acoustic wonders that are Jonny Neaves and Sarah Louise Davies. And of course, we're very grateful to the numerous individuals and organisations that donated goods and services to our silent auction. This raised over £100, every penny of which will go directly toward making the festival on Saturday 3rd May an incredible experience that the entire community can enjoy.
If you're part of a theatre company and were unable to attend, never fear! The application form can be downloaded from our homepage and you have until Monday 24th February to return a completed copy. So get your colleagues around the table and start thinking about what you could bring to this unique celebration of local arts, new work, independent businesses and dynamic collaboration.
Spread the word, it's almost time to assemble!
